1️⃣ Milestone - Validating before building
In Switzerland, understanding what you're actually insured for — and what's missing — is genuinely hard: long policies, legal language, and information scattered across providers.
Before writing a line of design, I validated the idea with real market research: roughly 127 respondents across language regions, with strong positive interest in AI-assisted features. Only then did I move to design.
2️⃣ Milestone - Two products, one engine
I designed two connected products sharing the same AI/document engine, rather than building two separate systems — validating the core architecture once across two very different user segments.
AssureKlear (consumer)
Users upload their own policies; the AI reads them and returns a clear dashboard (costs, coverage, gaps, expirations) plus an "Ask the expert" chat grounded in the user's real documents — not generic advice.
AssureKlear Pro (broker workspace)
A desktop workspace for Swiss insurance brokers to manage many clients ("Mandanten"), with an AI Co-Pilot available both per-client and across the whole portfolio.
3️⃣ Milestone - Prototype without real user data
To test document recognition and extraction without touching sensitive real data, I generated a full set of realistic Swiss insurance documents in German around demo personas — letting the prototype be tested honestly before any real user was involved.
